(Use your browser back button to return to previous page) TRADITIONAL We have gathered here today in the presence of God and of family and friends to join in the holy estate of matrimony *bride* *bride last* and *groom* *groom last*. They have requested your presence on this memorable occasion in order that you might share with them, the pledging of their everlasting love.
WHO GIVES THIS WOMAN TO BE MARRIED? If anyone present has any cause that these two should not be joined in marriage today, let him rise and speak now, or forever hold his peace. The commitment of marriage is one of the most important decisions two people will make in their lives. The vow of marriage is a pledge of their everlasting love uniting them in holy matrimony, whereby, they commit to share all life has to offer, the good times and the bad, with patience and understanding. For a marriage to remain strong your faith must never waiver due to the trials and tribulations of everyday life. Remember that the power of faith can conquer all obstacles. For this reason shall a man leave his father and his mother and be united to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.
Marriage is a holy covenant in which two devoted hearts enter with solemn vows. It is a lawful estate which is not to be entered without much serious reflection. *groom* and *bride*, if it is your desire at this time to enter into sacred matrimony, please signify your willingness by answering "I Do".
I DO'S
Therefore seeing that you *bride* and *groom* have chosen each other as partners in this holy estate and know of no just cause why you should not be so united, will you now join your right hands together.
VOWS RINGS The wedding ring is shaped as an unbroken ring. It is to symbolize for each of you the everlasting and unending love that you share; and it is to be a visible reminder of your inner commitment to one another.
PRAYER BENEDICTION The Lord bless you and keep you The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord look upon you with favor and give you peace. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
PRONOUNCEMENT Seeing then that you *groom* and *bride* have consented together in holy matrimony in the presence of God. As a minister of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the authority vested in me by the state of California, I now pronounce you husband and wife. What therefore God has joined together, let man not put asunder.
